A few years ago, I was on a team that spent three years for the state of 
New Jersey evaluating Westminster Choir College's program in music. 
There, the head of the voice department (I'm sorry to have forgotten his 
name) had purchased some very sophisticated equipment for vocal study, 
including an electronic laryngoscope. The plan then was to assess 
students when they enter by taking a "picture" of their vocal tract and 
then by taking one again when they leave WCC to determine changes, 
assuming changes to be a result of training. You might check there (they 
are now part of Rider College).
